Grand Junction Area Campgrounds
Bookcliff campground Lies on the shores of Highline Lake Northwest of Grand Junction. While the scenery here is somewhat lacking this campground offers a great many amenities and nearby activities that more than make up for Less than impressive views. The park offers 27 large sites that are spacious enough to ensure privacy and are shaded by large trees. Hikers will enjoy the 3 mile trail encircling Highline Lake and other trails for both hiking and mountain biking are not far away. Swimming fishing and boating are all activities available to visitors to the park and the ice fishing is good in the winter. The facilities include Grills, Picnic tables and restrooms with showers.

From Grand Junction, follow Interstate 70 to Highway 139 and turn right heading North. Once Past the town of Loma, follow HWY 139 about five miles to Q Road and turn right. Follow signs to Bookcliff Campground.
